FAQs

  • Where can I get to the lake to go swimming?

Shoreline access is restricted to the Cleetwood Cove Trail. Open mid to late June, this area is 1.1 miles long and drops approximately 700 feet down to the lake shore. There is no other safe or legal place to swim in Crater Lake.
  • What kind of fish are in the lake?

The lake is stocked with Kokanee Salmon and Rainbow Trout. Fishing is encouraged to help control the population. No license is required and there are no catch limits. That said, anglers are required to use artificial bait to keep from introducing non-native species into the lake.
